The world’s first ever major exhibition featuring one of the most famous Flemish painters of all time, Pieter Bruegel the Elder and his magnificent work is on show in Vienna Museum of Fine Arts (Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien) since 2.10.2018.

If you have missed the largest presentation of Breugel’s masterpieces in history, there will be still the opportunity until 13.1.2019.

Peter Breugel was far ahead of his time. For example, he was the first to use landscapes and animals as independent motifs in his paintings. He is often called the “Peasant Breugel” because he has closely observed the everyday life of the Dutch people and masterfully painted them.

For the first time in 300 years, 4 pictures from the famous cycle “Seasons” hang together on one wall.
